Travis Pearson, MABC, LPC, Chief Executive Officer Travis is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Bachelors in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Counseling. He has 30 years of Social Service experience in areas of mental health, Veterans issues, homelessness, trauma, foster care, residential services, emergency shelters, supportive housing, disabilities, and child abuse. He has been appointed and served on numerous Boards and councils at the city and state levels focusing on child welfare, housing, employment, and other key social issues. He is the previous President for the South Alamo Regional Alliance for the Homeless (SARAH), the Continuum of Care for San Antonio and Bexar County, and is President of Urban Alliance; a non-profit that oversees management of apartment complexes for adults with mental illness. Since he started at Endeavors™ in 2008, the agency has grown from serving 3,000 to 18,000 Individuals each year through 21 service locations across the United States.
Mina Woodard, MA, CFRE – Executive Vice President & COO Mina has over 25 years of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, board development, strategic planning, community collaboration and working with families in crisis. She holds a Master of Arts in Management & Leadership from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri. Mina is an Alumnus of Leadership New Braunfels, past board member of the Mid Texas Symphony, the San Antonio Chapter of AFP, and the City of San Antonio Headstart Policy Council. She currently serves on the board of the South Alamo Regional Alliance for the Homeless (SARAH). In 2016, she was named Outstanding Fundraiser of the Year by the San Antonio Association of Fundraising Professionals. As Executive Vice President and COO, Mina oversees all programmatic departments in their day-to-day operations, advocates for all of the agency’s fundraising efforts, and plays a key role in our growing organization’s strategic planning.
Steve Lefever, CPA – Chief Financial Officer Steve is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has over 35 years of experience in finance and accounting with over 25 years as CFO in both the distribution and service industries. Prior to becoming a CFO his experience included auditing and banking. Steve has served on the Finance Committee of the San Antonio Area Girl Scouts as and has been appointed and served on numerous Boards locally and internationally dealing with both business and social issues. Steve oversees all areas on accounting and finance and recently joined the agency in 2017.
Danny Hernandez, Director, Human Resources & Facilities Danny holds a diverse human resources background that includes experience in a variety of positions in both the military and private sector. Throughout his career, he has managed various HR functions to include staffing, employee relations, benefits, and education, and corporate trainer. He has worked as an Equal Employment Opportunity Trainer for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and international clients. He possesses a graduate degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Management through Sullivan University and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Other professional certifications include being a Mediator, Facilitator, EEO Specialist, and EEO Program Manager.
Kat Cole, LCSW, Director, Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Family Endeavors, Inc. in San Antonio Kat has 15 years of experience in the mental health field, providing clinical, case management, outreach and advocacy support to individual adults, adolescents, couples and families with acute and/or chronic mental health conditions. Kat has provided above services in acute inpatient, partial hospitalization and outpatient settings. She has supported a multi-state US Army Family Program, Texas National Guard Behavioral Health Services and US Air Force Mental Health Clinic and Family Advocacy Program. Kat has served in the US Air Force, with her spouse currently stationed at Randolph Air Force Base. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Nebraska- Omaha, and her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Texas – San Antonio. Kat is currently pursuing a MBA degree at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.
Sandy Emanuel, LCSW, Clinic Director, Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Family Endeavors, Inc. in El Paso Sandy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of social work, inpatient psychiatric, clinical and operations management experience. She has served as an Adjunct Professor for the Social Work Program at New Mexico State University (NMSU), and as a field instructor and clinical supervisor for University of Texas El Paso. Over her professional career, Sandy has mentored dozens of interns in the fields of social work and counseling and maintains a commitment to serving her local communities. Sandy is a graduate from NMSU with a masters in Social Work. As a military spouse, Sandy has a personal connection to the unique needs of our veterans and their family members.
